Currently, there are five official routes to climb Mount Rinjani designated by the government and the Mount Rinjani National Park authority. However, the most recommended routes are Sembalun, Senaru, and Torean. You can choose one of these three routes if you want to explore the main highlights of Mount Rinjani, such as the Senaru and Sembalun crater rims, the summit, Segara Anak Lake, and the hot springs. To visit all of these points, it is recommended to choose at least a 3-day trek, which can start from either Sembalun or Senaru. Learn more about the routes and map here.
